Special Assembly - International Day of Persons with Disabilities
DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December 2024, with a dedicated focus on raising awareness and sensitizing Class XI students to the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
The program commenced with the DAV Gaan.
This was followed by the formal felicitation of our esteemed guests: Mr. Vikas Chauhan, Mr. Mant Ram, Mr. Satyapal Singh, and Mrs. Nirmal Sharma.
The respected Principal, Mrs. Anupama Sinha, addressed the gathering, sharing her personal reflections and offering a profound perspective on the importance of recognizing and supporting people with disabilities. Her words highlighted the need for empathy and inclusivity in all aspects of life.
The students then presented a heartwarming musical performance, dedicating a beautiful song to the guests.
Following the performance, our distinguished guests – Mr. Vikas Chauhan, Mr. Mant Ram, and Mr. Satyapal Singh – shared their valuable insights and experiences. Their speeches offered a deeper understanding of fostering an inclusive society for all.
The event concluded with Shaanti Paath.
Sincere gratitude to our respected Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Anupama Sinha and Senior Supervisory Incharge, Dr. Reeta Maheshwari for their support and vision in initiating this event. The event not only educated the students but also inspired them to become more empathetic and proactive in supporting individuals with disabilities within their communities.
The celebration was a significant step in building a more inclusive future and reflected the school’s ongoing efforts to create a society where all individuals, regardless of their abilities, are valued and respected.
