World Heritage Day

 

DL DAV Model School, Pitampura commemorated World Heritage Day on 18th April, to honor the world's cultures and heritage sites under the able guidance of Ms. Reeta Maheshwari. The aim was to raise awareness among the students regarding the diversity of India’s cultural heritage and to sensitize them towards their role as the custodians of the rich and unique magnificent cultural legacy.

As a part of the celebration,  students of class X participated enthusiastically in the quiz on the topic “ World Heritage sites”. A small documentary had also shown to them to apprise the learners with the heritage sites, and contribute towards the preservation of our Country’s heritage in our own little way. The importance of preservation of heritage be it cultural or monumental was emphasized. Being mindful of our rich heritage provides just the right platform to develop a more thought after future.
